Light Blue Hues & a Love Story 10 Years in the Making
There’s something special about an August wedding at The Hartwood—the golden light, the soft summer breeze, and a warmth that feels almost cinematic. Allison and Hayden’s wedding day captured all of it beautifully. Their celebration was the perfect blend of timeless elegance, soft light blue hues, and the kind of joy that comes from loving someone for nearly a decade.
Allison started her morning in our bright bridal suite surrounded by her bridesmaids in dreamy pastel tones. The laughter was constant, the energy was light, and every moment felt like the start of something truly magical. She radiated pure happiness, and you could feel it in every corner of the room.
Their love story spans almost ten years, and that depth showed in every small touch—calm glances, shared smiles, and the steady, peaceful way they moved through their day together. When a couple has grown up side-by-side, the connection is unmistakable.
As Allison walked down the aisle, the entire space felt wrapped in emotion. Father Eric Grubb led a heartfelt ceremony that honored both their journey and their future. The soft August sunlight and the surrounding trees created the dreamiest natural backdrop—exactly what makes outdoor weddings at The Hartwood so unforgettable.
The reception carried the palette of soft blues, creams, and classic summer accents. Jan Terrell Homestead’s florals added effortless elegance, while Unforgettable Food Affairs delivered a dinner experience guests are still talking about.
From the live painter capturing the magic in real time to the iconic Band of Oz bringing everyone to the dance floor, every detail reflected the couple’s personality—classic, intentional, and full of heart.
And of course, their surprise appearance from the Carolina Hurricanes’ Stormy mascot brought so much laughter and delight. It was the perfect unexpected moment.
Allison and Hayden, thank you for choosing The Hartwood to host such an important chapter of your story.
